** “Are you smarter than a Village Schooler?” went extremely well.  It was a blast, as a matter of fact!  We experienced great success.  Everyone had an awesome time.  See you in the spring of 2010!

7th – 8th Grade Math for November

During November 7th and 8th graders will be working with algebraic fractions. They will identify monomial expressions. Students will review rules for divisibility.  They will write expressions using exponents and evaluate those expressions.  Students will factor algebraic expressions to find the Greatest Common Factor (GCF) and Least Common Multiple (LCM).   Students will explore multiplying and dividing monomials with the same base.  They will have lots of practice with negative exponents.

In Music, we are preparing for a wonderful Christmas program.  Students know almost all the words to the songs from “Angels Aware” and hopefully those with speaking parts are learning the dialogue. We have costumes and scenery.  Keep practicing.

If you have any questions or concerns, or wish to talk to me about your child’s progress, don’t hesitate to call 754-2072 to set up an appointment. Better yet, make a note in the Manatee Book, and I’ll get back to you.

Thanks,
